Groundbreaking Ceremony

GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY.jpg

We are going to dedicate this land so that all that happens here is for the glory of God.  This land was here long before we were here. This land was here before any of us were born.  This land has been here for as long as there has been land. And we don't know what has happened on this land.  But we know that God has brought us to this day, to this time, to set it apart and to say from this point forward what happens here is for the glory of Jesus to honor the living God.

We devote it this day so that the real fruitfulness of this land can be released for the glory of God.  We do this to cancel the past, to declare a new ownership, and to release the grace of God to heal the land and to redeem it for His purposes, and when we do, there is going to be great fruitfulness.

So together I want us to dedicate this land to its God-given destiny.  We want to establish a covenant for this land. Will you lift your hands with me?  As I pray, I want you to look out over these fields, and I want you to envision what God wants to do here.  Open your eyes. See one child. There will be ten, twenty, fifty playing in the fields. Lift up your eyes and see with the eyes of your heart what the living God wants to do here, and dare to believe.

Almighty God, we come before heaven with uplifted hands, and we say, release the land, release the destiny, release the purpose, and together we cancel the past, we break every curse, we cancel every secret word curse, we say no to every vow, and we cut off every sin that has ever happened upon this land.  We say no to every dark force, and we declare before heaven and before the powers of darkness from this moment forward, this land belongs to God, the God of heaven and earth, to the God who lives, to the God who says yes, to the God of dreams, to the God of hope, to the God of healing, to the God of deliverance, the living God, and to His Son Jesus Christ. We say this land belongs to Him.  So together, Father, in this covenant of uplifted hands, we release the fruitfulness of this land. We release all of the produce of this land that this land will be blessed and not cursed, that this land shall live and not die. This land shall be filled with peace. This land shall be filled with love. This land shall be filled with compassion. This land shall be filled with salvation. This land shall be filled with hopefulness and fruitfulness to the glory of God.  We say yes to Your promise, and we dedicate this place for all that You desire to do. And now to the God who is able, to the God who is more than enough, to the God who can do more than we can dream, more than we can imagine, we say yes and we say amen though Jesus Christ the living Savior. And all God's people said together, Amen, Amen. So be it, Lord.
